Install and connect to your PC
- Install the app - get it on Google Play (Android). The App Store (iPhone) version is coming soon.
- Get the PC ready - install RDVGO Player on your PC, keep it running, and put the phone and PC on the same Wi-Fi. If the PC program isn't installed yet, use Email me the PC install link in the app.
- Open Library - tap the Library tab at the bottom and the app looks for your PC on the same Wi-Fi (or tap Find my PC). If there are several PCs, pick one in Choose a PC.
- Match the confirmation number - the phone shows a 4-digit confirmation number. If the approval window on the PC shows the same number, click Allow on the PC. If it is different, don't allow it. When you see "Connected", you're done.
- The badge at the top of Library shows the connection (Same Wi-Fi · Away · connected · Not connected). Tap it for Retry and Search for PC again.
- To start over, use ⋮ → Reset connection at the top right.
- Signing in (account icon at the top right) — to connect to your PC, sign in with the same account as the PC (Free included). Signing in also unlocks away-from-home access, folder sharing and your plan's features. Signing out on the phone also disconnects it from the PC. Continue with Google works too.
Can't connect? See Connection troubleshooting.
Home screen
The tabs at the bottom are Home · Library · Settings (on an unfolded foldable they move to the left side). Home shows, from the top:
- Continue watching & reading - what you were watching on the phone and PC, newest first, with where you stopped ("Resume from ...", "Resume from page N") and tags such as On this device, My PC and Available offline. Long-press for Open · Play on PC (TV) · Remove from Continue watching (the file is not deleted).
- Open files on this device - videos, comics (zip, cbz) and books (pdf, epub, txt) on your phone. Up to 30 stay in Recent files.
- Saved offline - originals you downloaded from Library. They play without internet. Downloads in progress, paused or waiting for Wi-Fi are here too, with Resume · Pause · Cancel. The button at the right switches between list and grid. The trash icon (Delete download) deletes right away without asking.
- Now playing bar - while something plays on the PC or TV, a "Playing on your PC" / "Playing on the TV" bar appears at the bottom. Play/pause from it, or tap it to open the remote.
Pull down to refresh. Close the notice bar at the top with ✕.
Library
- Switch between My PC and Shared folders at the top. My PC shows the folders you chose on the PC (Back = up one level). The last folder you opened opens again next time.
- Search - type in "Search videos, comics & books" to find items instantly. The button next to it switches between list and cover grid.
- Tap an item to play it right away (streaming). Tap ⬇ Download original to save it to the phone; pause with ⏸ and continue with ▶ Resume. External subtitles are downloaded too.
- Long-press an item for Play · Play on PC (TV) · Download / Delete download.
- Downloads resume automatically on the next connection, even after the app closes or the connection drops. With Settings → Download on Wi-Fi only on, nothing downloads over mobile data; it continues on Wi-Fi.
- Free allows 3 saved items; Premium and up are unlimited.
Away from home Platinum
Signed in with the same account as your PC, Library connects directly (encrypted) to your PC when you're away. The app connects peer-to-peer first and falls back to your router's port (UPnP). No VPN permission is needed. Video never goes through our servers, and the PC must be on.

Phone remote
When your laptop or PC is connected to a TV, control the PC player from your phone. It's free; the phone just needs to be on the same Wi-Fi as the PC.
Opening it
- While something plays on the PC, tap the "Playing on your PC" bar at the bottom of Home or Library.
- The remote icon at the top of Library, or ⋮ → PC remote.
- Long-press a video and choose Play on PC (TV) - it starts on the PC screen and the remote opens.
What the remote does
- Play/pause, back/forward 10 seconds, −1 min · +1 min, seek bar
- Previous · next episode, hold for 2x speed, speed, stop
- Volume (0-130) and mute - while the remote is open, the phone's volume buttons change the PC volume too
- Pick or turn off subtitles, subtitle timing in 0.1 s steps
- Toggle PC full screen with the button at the top right
If you see "Phone remote is turned off in the PC settings", turn on Allow phone remote in the PC settings. The PC program must be 1.0.77 or later.
Cast to TV
Premium Continue a PC video from your phone on the TV. The phone and TV must be on the same Wi-Fi.
- Tap the TV icon at the top of the video. Choose a TV opens and looks for TVs for about 4 seconds (Chromecast and DLNA TVs such as Samsung and LG).
- Pick a TV and it plays from where you were. The external subtitles (smi, srt, ...) you were using are sent too (embedded subtitles can't be sent, and whether the TV shows them depends on the model).
- Meanwhile the phone becomes a TV remote - seek bar, ±10 s and ±1 min, play/pause, TV volume (also with the phone's volume buttons), Stop TV and watch on phone, Stop casting.
- The TV keeps playing if you go elsewhere in the app; the "Playing on the TV" bar at the bottom brings you back to the remote.
- Turn the TV off and about 15 seconds later the last position is saved to Continue watching. Tap Continue on this phone, or pick up from there later on the phone or PC.
- Only videos streamed from your PC can be cast (not downloaded or shared videos). TVs may not play files other than mp4 - then connecting the PC to the TV and using the phone remote always works.

App troubleshooting
It says it couldn't find my PC.
Check that the PC program is running and that the phone and PC are on the same Wi-Fi. The easiest fix is PC Settings → Re-allow firewall. See Connection troubleshooting.
I can't connect to my PC away from home (LTE/5G).
Away from home, the app first connects peer-to-peer, then falls back to the port the PC opened on your router (UPnP). If neither works, turn on UPnP in your router settings. If UPnP isn't available, set up port forwarding for TCP 47832 to this PC's local IP. It may not work behind double NAT (ISP modem plus your own router) or shared building internet without a public IP. The PC must be on and signed in (Platinum).
"Too many devices are watching"
Each plan sets how many phones can watch video at the same time (Free 1 · Premium 2 · Platinum 3). Close the player on another phone, or a phone left paused for more than 10 minutes frees its slot. Downloads, comics and books don't count.
"This PC is signed in to a different account..."
The phone and PC use different RDVGO accounts. Sign in to the same account on both.
I removed this phone on the PC and now it won't connect.
Use ⋮ → Reset connection at the top right of the app, then connect again.
Downloads don't start.
With Download on Wi-Fi only on, downloads wait for Wi-Fi. Free allows 3 saved items, so delete one or change your plan.
I don't see the TV icon.
Cast to TV is for Premium and up, and only for videos streamed from your PC. Check that you're signed in.
The phone's volume buttons change the PC volume.
Only while the PC remote is open. Close the remote and they control the phone again. To stop volume buttons turning pages in comics and books, turn it off in the page-turn settings.
